FRANCISCAN LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE (IRELAND)

Saint Francis of Assisi wanted his followers to show that they are members of one family.  The Franciscan Leadership Conference (FLC) is the gathering of the leaders (or their named delegates) of all the followers of Francis and Clare of Assisi in Ireland.

The aims of the FLC are:

-          To help strengthen the bonds of family between Franciscan institutes

-          To increase knowledge and appreciation of a shared charism as well as the particular gifts of each institute

-          To provide a framework of support and affirmation to those who exercise the ministry of leadership

The Conference meets twice yearly.  Through the Central Committee it organises lectures, seminars, retreat days, longer retreats and other events as the need arises.
