Our Mission in Zambia..
Begun in 1931, there are currently 24 Irish, 6 New Jersey and 5
Zambian friars in the Vice-Province, living in 10 houses in Zambia and 1
in Namibia. Most of the work is done on mission stations which serve the
large and poor area of western Zambia and the Caprivi Strip in Namibia.
The Capuchins are also heavily involved in Bonaventure College in
Lusaka. This college is a venture of the Franciscan family and serves
seven countries, with about 50 Capuchin students. The Zambian
Vice-Province has 12 students.
